UX / UI Design
Developer Node Dashboard
Optimized the deployment and monitoring workspace for blockchain infrastructure tools. Focused on reducing configuration complexity, conducting targeted developer research, and streamlining the node management workflow.
Project Duration :
2022 - 6 weeks
Client :
Ankr
Industry :
Web3 - Blockchain Infrastructure
Role :
UX/UI Designer
Team size :
Cross-functional (PMs, Devs, Designers)
Tools :
Figma • Handoff Tooling • Tailwind CSS

Problem :
Setting up and monitoring decentralized nodes was highly fragmented and complex. Web3 developers faced severe friction during the initial configuration phase. The cognitive load of configuring blockchain clients and API parameters caused high drop-off rates on the platform dashboard.
Furthermore, the design-to-development handoff was inconsistent. Engineering teams lacked unified component libraries to deploy technical UI states quickly. This friction delayed critical Web3 application deployments.

Solution :
Redesigned the setup flow based on targeted research with Web3 developers. We simplified multi-chain node deployment into a guided step-by-step setup wizard. We also unified real-time telemetry, API usage, and status monitoring into a single developer workspace.
To bridge the engineering gap, we created a streamlined handoff framework. We delivered precise interface specifications and system parameters. This unified system allowed engineers to implement complex technical flows without guessing UI states.
Open Figma Prototype

Challenge :
The primary difficulty was balancing advanced technical configurations with a clean user experience. Developers needed detailed control over RPC endpoints, client selections, and network types. We had to structure these complex inputs logically.
We spent days mapping complicated technical dependencies. The layout had to present critical technical data clearly without overwhelming first-time users. It also had to provide power users with instant access to raw technical parameters.
Summary :
Streamlined the end-to-end developer experience for blockchain infrastructure. The updated node configuration workflows reduced setup friction and accelerated user onboarding.
User testing and targeted research validated the structural changes. Ultimately, these strategic usability improvements increased dashboard task completion rates by 10%. The final designs provided a scalable, developer-friendly foundation for complex decentralized services.
